Shishito Pepper is a bushy plant that produces high yields of 3-4" wrinkled fruits with a sweet flavor that can occasionally be hot when ripe. Can also be eaten green, when peppers are incredibly crunchy. Excellent for frying. Sow seeds indoors 1/4" deep eight weeks before the last frost, transplant outdoors 12-24" apart once the soil has warmed in a sunny location. Peppers germinate easiest in warm soil, providing gentle bottom heat may help seedlings emerge.
