Cucurbita pepo, also known as Livingston's Pie Squash or Winter Luxury Squash, is a historic vine that produce six pound fruits with thick delicately netted orange rinds and sweet fiber-free flesh great for pie making. Sow 6-8 seeds outdoors in 12" diameter hills 6" apart after all danger of frost has passed in a sunny location. Thin to 3-4 plants per hill after germination.
