Daucus carota, commonly called Dragon Carrot, is an exceptionally sweet carrot with stunning red-purple exterior and orange to yellow interior. Direct sow seeds outdoors 1/4" deep before the last spring frost in a sunny location with adequate drainage. Carrots are slow to germinate and require consistent moisture until they emerge. Mist daily or cover your planting area to help maintain moisture levels. Sow seeds successively throughout the growing season for fresh carrots on demand.
