Hydrangea paniculata, also known as PeeGee Hydrangea or Panicle Hydrangea, are an easy to grow hardy hydrangea. Large panicles of creamy flower clusters appear throughout summer and transform into shades of pink, white, and red (dependent on variety, see below) as temperatures cool. Plant in an area with good drainage and at least four hours of sunlight, shady afternoons being the most beneficial. Water regularly for the best blooms. Prune back by one third in late fall after your plant has finished blooming, or in early spring before new growth emerges. Plant in organically rich soil with adequate drainage.
