Anthurium crystallinum is an epiphytic plant native to Central America, growing in tree branches and in leaf litter on hillsides. This plant has dark green velvety foliage with striking white veins that glisten in the light.
Care: Plant in an airy potting soil that includes sphagnum moss, bark, perlite, and a little horticultural charcoal. Place in a location with medium to bright light with no direct sunlight. Allow the top few inches of soil to dry before watering, but do not allow to dry completely. Your plant may prefer filtered or distilled water. Protect from drafty windows or air vents, these plants thrive in humid conditions between 65°F and 70°F. Fertilize with a liquid fertilizer every 5 to 7 weeks during the growing season. Dilute fertilizer by half the recommended dose to avoid leaf burn.
