Anthurim forgetii is an unusual tropical plant with deep velvet green foliage that develop intricate veins as they mature. This plant is native to Colombia and Ecuador and can be found growing in tree branches and leaf litter.
Care: Plant in an airy potting soil that includes sphagnum moss, bark, perlite, and a little horticultural charcoal. Place in a location with medium to bright light with no direct sunlight. Allow the top few inches of soil to dry before watering, but do not allow to dry completely. Protect from drafty windows or air vents, these plants thrive in humid conditions between 65°F and 70°F. Fertilize with a liquid fertilizer every 5 to 7 weeks during the growing season. Dilute fertilizer by half the recommended dose to avoid leaf burn.
