Beta vulgaris, commonly called Bassano or Chioggia Beet, are sought after for their alternating red and white concentric rings that are visually pleasing when sliced. Enjoy fresh, roasted, or pickled! Sow seeds outdoors 1/2" deep once the spring soil is workable. Plant in two week intervals for a steady harvest all season.
