Heliopsis helianthoides, commonly known as False/Oxeye Sunflower, is an upright clump-forming perennial with ovate toothed foliage topped with stems of vibrant daisy-like flowers June thru August. This plant is best grown in average well-drained soil. Although they will tolerate moderate drought, heliopsis perform better when watered regularly. You can cut plant stems back a third to half of the way late May to reduce the overall plant height. Plant in well-drained soil and water regularly.
