Cucumis sativus, commonly called Ace or Pickling Cucumber, is a productive vine that produces straight 10" long dark green cucumbers that are excellent for, you guessed it, pickling. Best picked 4-6" long. Direct sow 6-8 seeds 1" deep in seed hills 6" apart in a sunny location. Thin down to 3-4 plants per hill after germination. Provide steady moisture for the best performance. To save space, provide support.
