Raphanus sativus, or French Breakfast Radish, is a historic variety of garden radish that produces oblong white-tipped dark pink roots with mildly pungent flavor. Sow seeds outdoors 2-3" apart as soon as spring soil is workable in a sunny location, harvesting while still small. Plant successively every 3-4 weeks throughout summer and fall for a continual harvest.
