Thymus vulgaris, commonly called Thyme, is an annual herb used to season anything and everything vegetables and meat alike. Tiny aromatic green leaves grow on sprawling woody stems, and can make an excellent ground cover, or spiller in container gardens. Start seeds indoors on the soils surface 6-8 weeks before the last frost, transplanting outdoors after the danger of frost has passed. Plant in well-draining soil and allow to dry between watering.
