Silvery white and fluffy, this is one cool little airplant! The name tectorum is Latin, it's meaning roofing. In their native environment, tectorum plants are grown on the roofs of houses in the Andes.
Tillandsia (Airplants) must receive bright light (avoid direct sunlight) and sufficient moisture. In place of natural light, a broad spectrum fluorescent light is recommended.
Tillandsias take up moisture and nutrients through their foliage, soak in a small bowl of water once or twice a week for several hours.
