Cucurbita pepo, commonly known as Black Beauty Zucchini Squash, is an excellent summer squash with a compact bushy habit that produce deep glossy green fruits. Sow 6-8 seeds in 12" diameter hills spaced 6' apart in a sunny location after the soil has warmed. Thin plants 3-4 per hill after germination.
